Before working with Blough Tech, we had an in-house IT person. We just weren't under contract. We called Blough Tech for any hardware problems, such as not being able to connect to the network. We signed up to have that support available to us. Under contract, we get preferred service rather than calling and having to wait our turn. Knowing Blough Tech is available to us gives us peace of mind; they come right on if we have any problems we see as urgent.
We need our system up and working to be able to help our customers. By monitoring our system, Blough Tech has detected potential problems before they turned into major disasters. They have detected viruses, as well as our back-ups not working properly. It has made things easier for me because I can call Blough Tech when the employees have any questions that I cannot answer. In the long run, paying the flat fee per month has been profitable compared to paying the hourly rate.

We used to use different companies, different individuals. We'd go a couple of months with one company, they'd go out of business or do inferior work and then we'd move on. When we purchased Thomas of Cairo, we inherited a group of older computers that always seemed to be having problems, so we were constantly calling someone to fix them due to their age. Everybody at Blough Tech is really friendly, and all of the technicians do a good job. If we do have a problem, Pat always tries to work us into her schedule as quickly as possible.
It was time consuming for me to have 15 employees randomly coming to me to tell me their anti-virus software was expired or that they has spyware problems. Of course, we had several employees that would just ignore their antivirus expiration altogether. To try to keep up with everyone's anti-virus alone was time consuming. Plus, we had several employees going to sites they were not allowed to, particularly music downloading sites that infected our computer network. It was expensive to have that fixed, so we decided to go to a corporate anti-virus managed by Blough Tech to hopefully prevent that type of problem in the future.
It is a time saver for me because I don't have to worry with each individual person having up-to-date anti-virus. Everyone is up to date, and a concern is taken off of my list. It is just one important thing taken off my to-do list. Individual employees aren't constantly coming to me with spyware or virus related computer problem now. Once before, due to a "free" music site that one of our employees had visited, our entire network was down for several hours due to a virus that computer had become infected with. That's very serious for us... we are unable to write service or body shop business or contract car sales. We were shut down for hours, which has not occurred again since we signed up for the BGuaranteed Managed Service program. We don't have to worry about our computer system being down.

We have used Blough Tech from Day 1 with my company. Y'all have proven to me that you are always quick to help us out if there is a problem or issue. The single biggest benefit is the peace of mind. I don't have to worry about all of that stuff. If there ever is a problem, we just call you guys and usually it is handled in a few minutes.
From an owner's stand-point, if something goes wrong when I am out of the office, I don't have to rush back to try to do something about it. My employees know they can call you guys to get it fixed. It frees me up personally. I don't have focus on the technical part of the business, so I can do what I need to do and focus on the sales aspect.
